The employee in question has been identified as a 28-year-old Swapnil Nagesh Mali, who hails from Andhra Pradesh. Over 30 obscene videos of different women have been found on his phone.

The Bengaluru-based company said it has zero tolerance for any form of harassment.

Information technology (IT) giant Infosys has terminated an employee for filming videos of a woman in a restroom on its Bengaluru campus. The company said it has zero tolerance for any form of harassment.

The employee, identified as 28-year-old Swapnil Nagesh Mali from Maharashtra, was found to have over 30 obscene videos of different women on his phone.

"We are aware of this incident and have taken necessary action against the employee, who is now separated from the Company. We also promptly supported the complainant by facilitating a swift complaint with the law enforcement authorities and continue to cooperate as they investigate further. Infosys is committed to providing an environment free of harassment and has a zero-tolerance policy. We take every complaint related to any violation of the Company's Code of Conduct seriously," the company said in a statement.

The incident came to light when, on June 30, a female employee noticed a reflection, standing on a platform of the adjacent cubicle, and found out that someone was indeed recording her. The woman then screamed, following which Mali apologised to her.
