She detailed that Pakistani military bases at Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunian were struck using air-launched precision ammunition and fighter jets, while Pasrur’s radar site and the Sialkot aviation base were also precisely hit. She stressed that the Indian military ensured minimal collateral damage in these operations.

Separately, the Indian Army also posted a sharp statement on microblogging site X, saying, “Indian Army Pulverises Terrorist Launchpads.”

In the post, the Army wrote that it conducted a coordinated fire assault on terrorist launchpads located near the Line of Control, following Pakistan’s attempted drone attacks on multiple cities in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab during the nights of May 8 and 9.

The post was accompanied by a video featuring the iconic song "Kadam Badhaye Jaa," showcasing the Indian armed forces’ relentless efforts in destroying terrorist launchpads across Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

“These terrorist launchpads were longstanding hubs for planning and executing attacks against Indian civilians and security forces,” the Army mentioned in its statement. “The Indian Army’s swift and decisive action has dealt a significant blow to terrorist infrastructure and operational capabilities.”

Tensions have flared up dramatically over the past few days, with Pakistan ramping up the use of fighter jets, drones, long-range weapons, and loitering munitions to target Indian military and civilian locations.

Colonel Qureshi confirmed that Indian airbases, including those at Awantipur and Srinagar, were among the targets, but she reassured that damage across all civilian and military zones remained limited, thanks to proactive defensive measures.

The Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Defence jointly underlined that New Delhi's response has been measured and responsible, aimed solely at neutralising immediate threats while avoiding civilian harm.

The Indian government has, meanwhile, also cautioned the public to remain alert against Pakistan’s attempts to spread disinformation and shape a false narrative around the cross-border escalation.
