Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he deserves a Nobel Prize for working in the national capital despite the hurdles put forth by the Lieutenant Governor.

"For as long as our government has been in power (in Delhi), we weren't allowed to work, yet we still managed to deliver. I feel I should be awarded a Nobel Prize for governance and administration....," said Kejriwal.

The former CM was speaking during a book launch event in Mohali in presence of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and other AAP leaders.

The tussle between the two sides began with their almost simultaneous rise to power with the BJP led by Narendra Modi receiving a massive mandate in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and the AAP forming the government in Delhi with a historic victory a year later by winning 67 assembly seats out of 70.

The former Delhi CM also criticised the BJP-led Delhi administration, stating that after AAP left office, services collapsed: "Mohalla Clinics are being shut down, free medicines and tests discontinued, roads are broken, and 6-hour power cuts are back."
