How tailor's tag, online payment helped cops crack murder mystery in Odisha

The police have arrested the deceased's husband and two brother-in-law's in the case.

The police have arrested the deceased's husband and two brother-in-laws in connection with the case.

The incident occurred on December 13, when the body of a 35-year-old woman was found near the banks of Kathjodi river in Cuttack under the Kandarpur police station.

With no missing complaint lodged in any police station in the state, the body remained unidentified. The only clues the police had to work with was the murder weapon - a chopper knife, and a blood-stained shirt and pants found at the crime scene.

News agency PTI, quoting Cuttack DCP Jagmohan Meena, reported that the deceased woman had tattoos on both hands, but they could not help with her identification.
