The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on September 4 released its first list of 67 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana, fielding chief minister Nayab Singh Saini from the Ladwa seat.

The party has put forth Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt, Sunita Duggal from Rati, Gian Chand Gupta from Panchkula, Kanwar Pal Gurjar from Jagadhri, Bhavya Bishnoi from Adampur, and Tejpal Tanwar from Sohna, among others.

The elections in Haryana is scheduled to be held in a single phase on October 5 and the counting of votes will take place on October 8 together with that of the Jammu & Kashmir assembly polls.
