Dense fog delays flights of Modi, Messi, Nitin Nabin as Delhi air operations take a hit

The Airports Authority of India issues a travel advisory as dense fog grips northern India, urging passengers to check their flight status before leaving for the airport.

Dense fog in New Delhi on Monday delayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flight for Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman tour.

Scheduled to depart at 8.30 am, the Prime Minister eventually boarded around 9.30 am after poor visibility temporarily disrupted operations.

Even Argentine football legend Lionel Messi's flight from Mumbai to the national capital was also delayed.

He was scheduled to board his Delhi flight at 9.15 am but it has now been delayed. According to NDTV, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner's Mumbai flight will take off at 12 pm. He is now  expected to arrive in New Delhi by 2 pm.
