Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday proposed an integrated command and control centre for real-time monitoring of air quality, water pollution, noise levels, and waste management.

Presenting the 2025-26 Delhi budget, Gupta declared allocation of Rs 506 crore for the environment and forest departments.

A total of Rs 300 crore is allocated for “Pollution Control and Emergency Measures” to implement eco-friendly reforms, while Rs 20 crore has been assigned to the "Delhi Parks and Garden Society" scheme to assist RWAs, NGOs, and other organizations in beautifying parks and public spaces.

Gupta also announced that a large-scale tree plantation drive targeting 70 lakh saplings will be launched to increase Delhi's green cover, controlling air pollution, and enhancing urban biodiversity.
