This is the second time Khalid is being granted an interim bail in the last three years. In December 2022, a Delhi court had granted Khalid seven days of interim bail for his other sister’s wedding.

The order comes a day after the Supreme Court on Wednesday reserved its verdict on the regular bail pleas of Umar Khalid along with that of Sharjeel Imam and others in the UAPA case related to the alleged conspiracy behind the February 2020 riots in Delhi.
