Delhi coaching centre incident: MHA forms panel to probe death of students

The Union ministry of home affairs on July 29 said it has formed a high-level panel to probe the Delhi coaching centre incident, which caused the death of three IAS aspirants due to flooding in the basement of institute.

The committee will be chaired by an additional secretary of the ministry of housing and urban affairs and will inquire into the reasons, fix responsibility, suggest measures and recommend policy changes, a home ministry spokesperson said.

The high-level committee will also have other members, including
principal secretary (home) of Delhi government, special CP of Delhi Police and fire advisor, The panel will also have a joint secretary in the home ministry as the convener, according to the ministry.

The committee will submit its report in 30 days, the spokesperson said.
