With an eye on voters between the ages of 18 and 35 years, young leaders in Bihar are trying to counter the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government by bringing up issues such as migration and unemployment.

However, taking on the NDA, which boasts of a campaign line-up of the likes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister, may be easier said than done. While PM Modi’s campaigns in successive elections since 2014 have been synonymous with the slogan of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, CM Nitish is credited with bringing a sea change in the state of infrastructure in Bihar since coming to power.

BJP’s development pitch

The BJP stands as the single-largest party in the Bihar legislative assembly.  PM Modi this year has already visited the poll-bound state at least thrice and launched development projects worth crores.
