Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, several schools, and other institutions received bomb threat emails on Sunday, officials confirmed. According to Delhi Police, "Bomb threat email has been sent to Delhi airport, schools and several other institutions. Investigation is being carried out,"news agency ANI reported.

The email claimed that bombs had been placed around school and airport administrations and warned of a "blood pool" if authorities failed to act within 24 hours. The sender identified themselves as the leader of a terrorist group called “terrorizers 111” and issued threats in violent terms, police said.

They added that the mail explicitly mentioned explosives being planted at administrative premises of schools and airports, giving authorities 24 hours to react. “Further probe is being conducted,” police stated.

The capital has witnessed a spate of such hoax threats in recent weeks. Just over a week ago, several schools, including DPS Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, had received bomb threats via phone calls. Students and staff were evacuated as a precaution, and bomb disposal squads were rushed to the spots. DPS Dwarka even announced the postponement of mid-term exams citing “unavoidable circumstances.”
