Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani has been admitted to Apollo Hospital, PTI reported citing sources.
Advani remains under observation. His condition is "stable", hospital sources said.
However, the reason, for his hospitalisation is not known.
BJP spokesperson K Krishna Sagar Rao took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared the development.
"I pray for a good, healthy recovery for our tallest leader, Shri LK Advani as he is admitted into Apollo Hospital, Delhi," he wrote.
Born on November 8, 1927, in Karachi, Advani began his political journey by joining the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1942. A key strategist behind the BJP's rise, he became its longest-serving National President. In the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA government, he served as Home Minister and subsequently as Deputy Prime Minister.
