The Karnataka government will unveil its new IT, start-up and space-tech policies during the 28th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit, which will begin at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) on November 18.
The event will also see the launch of Karnataka’s AI-ready computer, designed and developed to bridge the state’s digital access gap.
The 28th edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 (BTS 2025), organised by the Department of Electronics, IT & BT, Government of Karnataka, and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), will be inaugurated by CM Siddaramaiah in the presence of deputy CM DK Shivakumar.
Speaking at the pre-event curtain raiser, Priyank Kharge, Minister for Information Technology, Biotechnology and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, said, “We are glad to reaffirm that the Bengaluru Tech Summit has grown into a truly global innovation platform, fostering discovery and development across the entire technology spectrum - from information technology and biotechnology to deep tech, space, and sustainability.”
He added that the government has envisaged and organised The Future Makers Conclave at BTS this year. The conclave will bring together nearly 10,000 founders, investors and innovators who are shaping the next wave of entrepreneurship. “The conclave is a flagship meet that aims to deliver highly tangible and definite value for all participants in the start-up ecosystem - budding entrepreneurs, early-stage founders and seasoned entrepreneurs looking to scale up. It will ensure that every attendee leaves with concrete takeaways, whether in capital access, pilots, business tools, mentoring, visibility or networks,” he said.
"We have shifted the venue to the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, one of the largest facilities in the country, to host the event more efficiently. Karnataka is strategically focusing on DeepTech for the next decade, with an initial commitment of Rs 600 crore. "Karnataka will unveil its SpaceTech policy, Startup Policy 3.0 and new Centres of Excellence in quantum and electronics. Startups will benefit from Investor Connect, Mentor Connect and extensive global collaboration opportunities.” said Manjula.
Themed ‘Futurise’, this year’s summit will bring together global leaders, policymakers, investors, startups and innovators to explore emerging frontiers across DeepTech, Biotech & HealthTech, Semiconductors and Startup Innovation. BTS 2025 will feature 10 focused conference tracks, including IT & DeepTech, Electro–Semicon, DigiHealth & Biotech, India–USA Tech Conclave, Global Collaboration & Startup Ecosystem, AI Universe (a run-up to the India AI Impact Summit), Defence & SpaceTech, Finverse, Academia–Industry Collaboration, Assistech and Women in Leadership.
The summit is expected to draw over 50,000 visitors, including more than 1,000 investors, 15,000 attendees, 500 speakers and 1,000 exhibitors. It will host over 80 knowledge sessions, 5,000 curated meetings and delegations from more than 60 countries, along with participation from all 30 States and Union Territories of India.
BTS 2025 will see participation from over 60 countries, making it one of the largest global technology gatherings hosted by any Indian state. Australia will be the country partner, while NRW Global Business (Germany) and Norway will participate as country focus partners. Poland will join as the Bronze Partner and Italy as the country presence partner. Delegations from the US, Cuba, Uruguay, Russia, the UK, Israel, Belgium, Finland, France, the EU, Dubai, Sharjah, South Korea, Japan, Singapore and Thailand will also take part.
The programme will feature investment announcements by leading venture capital firms in emerging AI and DeepTech startups, a Karnataka Unicorn Founders Felicitation, and the Elevate 2025 Awards - reaffirming the state’s commitment to accelerating innovation through its DeepTech investment roadmap.
In addition to conference sessions and exhibitions, BTS 2025 will host platforms such as Investor Connect, enabling startups to engage directly with leading investors and industry leaders, and Mentor Connect, which offers one-on-one mentorship sessions with seasoned experts. These initiatives aim to catalyse meaningful connections, capital access and strategic guidance for the next generation of innovators.
