The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is a "symbol of unity", and the Ram Lalla will bring togetherness in the country, said Niranjan Hiranandani, the managing director of Hiranandani Group, while speaking to CNN-News18 on January 22.
"There is an emotive feeling, something which will bring about a change in the country. I believe that this is something which will unite the country," Hiranandani said.
The top business leader was among the special invitees in Ayodhya for the Pran Pratishtha or the consecration ceremony at the temple. The invite was issued by the Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, which is in charge of constructing and building the temple on the once-disputed site.

"We must never allow ourselves to be divided again by anybody...Ram Lalla will bring that unity," Hiranandani added.
"Intellectuals, industrialists, judiciary and common man, all are united to look at Ram Lalla. You needed a symbol that unites the feelings of the people, and I think this is what has happened today," he further said.
Hiranandani also opined that the country had turned "too westernised in our thoughts", and the focus has been more on creating wealth.
"Wealth is valuable, but we need to focus on social values, and the commitment to the common man," he noted.
The consecration ceremony was held in Ayodhya at 12:20 pm, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and other top invitees.
