India on Tuesday launched an all-out diplomatic attack against Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council. Addressing the house during an open debate on Women, Peace and Security, New Delhi slammed Islamabad for its subpar records and poor performance in these key social sectors.

India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Haris in his fiery speech said that Pakistan has been found sanctioning systemic genocide and mass rape of 4,00,00 women.

“"Every year, we are unfortunately fated to listen to the delusional tirade of Pakistan against my country, especially on Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian territory they covet. Our pioneering record on the Women, Peace and Security agenda is unblemished and unscathed. A country that bombs its own people, conducts systematic genocide, can only attempt to distract the world with misdirection and hyperbole,” Haris was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

The Indian envoy condemned Pakistan, recalling that it was the same country that carried out Operation Searchlight in 1971, during which its army orchestrated a systematic campaign of genocidal mass rape, violating an estimated 400,000 women citizens.
