A dormant Ethereum pre-mine wallet has reactivated after more than ten years, transferring 850 ETH worth about $2.8 million, according to a report by Stocktwits. The movement was first flagged by blockchain-tracking service Whale Alert and marks the wallet’s first activity since 2015, when its holdings were valued at just $263, Stocktwits noted.

The transfer comes amid a broader surge in large-scale Ethereum accumulation. Stocktwits, citing on-chain data from analytics firm Santiment, reported that “whales and sharks” have added over 934,000 ETH — more than $3 billion — to their wallets over the past three weeks.

The report also highlighted that Ethereum’s “average coin age” metric has fallen recently, suggesting that long-inactive coins are being moved again, often interpreted as a sign that early holders are re-entering the market.
