SuperGaming launches made-in-India battle royale game Indus in open beta

Indus battle royale game is heavily inspired by Indian culture and mythology, set in a futuristic India with the Indus Valley Civilization serving as the backdrop

SuperGaming began pre-registrations for Indus on Android in January 2023 and on iOS in July 2024. The company claims to have clocked over 12 million pre-registrations until now.

Pune-based game development studio SuperGaming on August 16 released its made-in-India battle royale title Indus in open beta, over two-and-a-half years after its initial announcement.

The game is available as a free download on Google Play Store for Android users. iOS users can access the beta version through an invitation link using Apple's TestFlight app testing platform.

SuperGaming began pre-registrations for Indus on Android in January 2023 and on iOS in July this year. The company claims to have more than 12 million pre-registrations.

"With the launch of the open beta for Indus Battle Royale, we are looking forward to welcoming a broader audience to experience the game. This phase is a vital part of our development as it allows us to gather feedback from a wider player base beyond our closed beta group," SuperGaming co-founder Roby John said. The game was launched in closed beta in February 2024.
