Hindalco Industries
As you can see the metal index and metal stocks have been tumbling for the last almost 18 months or so, they are oversold but not too much of a respite seen yet. So, if one has a two or three year investment outlook, one needs to hold Hindalco Industries with a stoploss of Rs 99. If one has a slightly smaller horizon, exit on a bounce because none of the metal stocks seem to be performing.
L&T

Adani Power is on a long-term downtrend. We have been since 2010, woeful under performer over the last five years. We are at all time low, so technically speaking not looking good. There are no signals yet that would warrant something like this. I don’t even have a stoploss because it is at a all time low. Even if I give a stoploss it could get triggered. Unless we takeout Rs 40 on the weekly chart and sustain above that I don’t see any buy signals coming in. I would suggest
Larsen and Toubro (L&T), percentage wise appreciation could be higher if it turns but I would prefer something like an L&T.
Tech Mahindra
One needs to keep in mind that in
Tech Mahindra these are rates adjusted for the split and bonus. Stock has moved from Rs 140-760 and from Rs 760 it has come down to Rs 460. The original move has started from only Rs 40. We have data only for the last eight years, seems to suggest that we are in a correction of a greater degree but the bigger picture if you have the long-term chart seems to suggest we are on a long-term uptrend. So, if one has an outlook of two or three years or more it is a clear hold.
Axis Bank
One should hold
Axis Bank. It is doing well and expected to do well. I think we are heading for a clear further upside. I don’t see much of a problem. Stoploss of Rs 570 and target of Rs 645 but over a period of time this target should get upgraded to Rs 700 also.
