Kunal Bothra of LKP told CNBC-TV18, "I really doubt whether averaging could make sense as Jaypee Infratech is definitely trending down. From 2010, from Rs 97 it has come down to Rs 15 and then there was a bounce. I would advise something like Rolta India. Even at current levels of Rs 76 it could be a good bet from a six months to one year horizon where one could look at an upside target of close to Rs 90-100."
"If I look at the very short term history for the last one month or so, Jaypee Infratech had been in a range of Rs 19-19.50, so not really much of a movement and really these stocks don't trade and sink with the Nifty or sink with the markets. So, even if the Nifty gathering 6300-6350 odd points from bottom one really does not see any steam gathering in this particular stock. If I have to compare any of these stocks as compared to Nifty I really don't feel like investing in these stocks. So, if someone is keen in this stock I would advise have a stoploss of Rs 15 on Jaypee Infra," he said.
Disclosure: Analyst has no personal holdings in the stocks but at LKP he has recommend these stocks to his clients as well.
