Prakash Diwan, Director at Altamount Cap Management told CNBC-TV18, "It is time to buy into cyclicals, a huge section of the market has missed out on this move straightaway from 6200 to 6500 plus and it is a call for those people. I am extremely bullish on IDFC as a house, as a banking license candidate and the way things could move forward on the infrastructure side Kotak Mahindra Bank also features well in place.”

Axis Bank is not something that I am very found of at this point in time but I would look at some of the public sector banks which also should participate in this leg up and Bank of Baroda for instance is a wonderful balance sheet, it would improve itself very dramatically fast. So those are pockets of excellence that one needs to seek out in these days, don't panic. Infact yesterday and today is probably one more chance for most people to get into banking the way the Bank Nifty was resilient throughout the session yesterday. I don't see any reason why somebody should not be looking at banks,” he added.
