NBCC shares break 5-day losing streak after winning new orders from Mizoram govt

The shares of NBCC (India) recovered losses to trade over 1 percent higher at Rs 86.30 apiece on February 12, breaking its 5-day losing streak. This comes after the Navratna PSU company announced new order wins from the government of Mizoram.

The company in an exchange filing on February 12 announced that it has received orders from the Government of Mizoram for planning, designing and implementing three hydro projects. These include building a dam on the River Mat, a multipurpose rainwater harnessing dam in Champhai district and a dual mini-dam at Vantawng, Thenzaw.

Earlier on February 11, the PSU company reported a 25 percent year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 138 crore for the quarter which ended on December 31, 2024. Its revenue from operations stood at Rs 2,827 crore during the reported quarter. This marks a rise of nearly 17 percent from the Rs 2,424 crore revenue from operations reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Along with the Q3 results, the company also announced an interim dividend of Rs 0.53 apiece for the current financial year. The record date to ascertain the eligibility of the shareholders set to receive the payment has been set at February 18.
