Sangeeta Purushottam, Founder and Managing Partner at Cogito Advisors told CNBC-TV18, "NTPC has already reacted on Tuesday on CERC news and the downside is priced in. It has been trading at fairly attractive valuations compared to its history."
"I would not worry too much about the downside now. Upside may get capped for a while till clarity comes, but post that the stock should move. I would buy it now," she added.
At 10:09 hrs NTPC was quoting at Rs 139.20, up Rs 3.20, or 2.35 percent.
The share touched its 52-week high Rs 167.25 and 52-week low Rs 122.65 on 21 January, 2013 and 28 August, 2013, respectively.
