Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj Auto top pick: Standard Chartered

Maruti Suzuki and Bajaj Auto are the top picks in the auto space, says Amit Kasat, Director, India Institutional Research, Standard Chartered Securities (India) Ltd.

Kasat told CNBC-TV18, "My top picks are Maruti Suzuki and Bajaj Auto at the current level. On Bajaj Auto there is uncertainty over the DEPB benefit, which is going to be there or not going to be there. A lot of information which is floating around, so even if it goes down the management has made it very clear that they will sacrifice little bit of volume in terms of the profitability. So we will have to look at what will be the profitability growth once it goes away."
