Jagdish Malkani, Member NSE/ BSE feels selling in IT stocks has been overdone and at current levels these stocks look appealing.

Malkani told CNBC-TV18, "I think on valuation front IT has been really butchered post that debt imbroglio carnage in the west. I think it's overdone - this slowdown. This is not something that's come out of the blue especially our big tech companies have been taking market share every year."
He further added, "There is a bit of a protectionist climate, etc but basically I really think and led by the biggies - TCS, Infosys itself already have been got a real whammy after those results. HCL Tech - that's in big league and there are few midcaps also which are quite competitive in their spaces. So I think that's one sector that's frankly looking extremely appealing."
