This week, Sharmila Joshi of Fairwealth Securities, Nooresh Merani of AMSEC Research and Keval Bhanushali of Keynote Capital battle it out for top honours.

Below their top stock picks and analysis:

Sharmila Joshi of Fairwealth Securities

I start by buying Hindustan Dorr-Oliver. This I buy with a price of Rs 53.80 and a stop loss at 51.40. 55% of Hindustan Dorr Oliver is headed by IVRCL, which has been in the news recently because of the way Essel Group is buying into the stock. So overall this will have a positive impact on Hindustan Dorr Oliver and we have been hearing news also that there could be an interest rate buyer for Hindustan Dorr Oliver as well. So this is a stock that I buy with a target of Rs 53.80 for the day.

The next stock that I buy is Kajaria Ceramics. This I buy with a target of Rs 178.50 and a stop loss at Rs 172. The stock recently acquired 51% in Vennar Ceramics, an Andhra Pradesh based company which is in a very advanced stage to set up a facility which is going to be commissioned by June 2012. So this will take the capacity of Kajaria Ceramics to 38.3 million sq m and will also help the company breakdown their transportation cost and working capital cost as it will service southern part of the country very well. The company is on a very strong wicket, so Kajaria Ceramics
