This week, Ashish Kapur of Investshoppe, Nooresh Merani of AMSEC Securities and Pankaj Jain of Sunteck Wealthmax battle it out for top honours. Below their top stock picks and analysis: Ashish Kapur, Investshoppe Buy Ambuja Cements with a target of Rs 178 and a stop loss at Rs 164. Cement sector has been an outperformer over the last one year and we expect this outperformance to continue on the back of favorable demand-supply scenario, improved government spending in 12th five year plan as also a more benign interest and inflation regime. Ambuja Cement in particular has been doing very well. 25% of its production comes from the eastern part of the country where the demand is likely to remain very robust going forward. Buy Jindal Steel and Power. This company is again doing fairly well and has been investing huge amounts in both power as well as steel sector over the last many quarters. These investments are likely to start yielding good results from mid of FY13 onwards. We expect good performance starting from the next quarter onwards. Also steel as a sector seems to have bottomed out. The finished good prices are steadily rising. Buy Balrampur Chini with a target at Rs 58 and a stop loss at Rs 52.5. We expect reversal in the sugar cycle sometime going forward. Also with the government announcing its intent to eventually deregulate this sector the upside from these levels can be huge and within the sugar space we quite like Balrampur Chini because of its low leverage and also good diversification in ethanol and cogeneration of power. Buy Max India with a target at Rs 180 and a stop loss at Rs 164. This is one midcap stock which so far hasnDiscover the latest Business News, Sensex, and Nifty updates.
