Prefer ACC in cement space, says Singal

Sandeep Singal, Co-Head Institution Equities, Emkay advice traders to prefer ACC in cement space.

Singal told CNBC-TV18, “In the cement sector, what we have seen is every now and then the impending CCI news of penalty on these companies is expected to come today, tomorrow and those kinds of rumors keep going on the market and that is why these stocks are facing jittery.”
He further added, “In our view cement sector is structurally in a better condition and stock should really be positive. So, we would prefer may be a bit of midcap or small cap stocks like Century Ply or Shree Cement as compared to large cap stocks like ACC or Gujarat Ambuja or may be Ultratech, but if you were to ask me within these large cap stocks also which we would prefer, it would be ACC.”
