L&T Finance, LIC Housing good midcap bets: PN Vijay

L&T Finance, LIC Housing & Shriram Transport are good midcap bets, says PN Vijay, Portfolio Manager, askpnvijay.com.
 
Vijay told CNBC-TV18, “I am quite bullish about the NBFC space because of the opportunities, the high margins and some of the possibilities of getting banking licenses. But I prefer slightly more high quality names like probably an L&T Finance, Shriram Transport Finance, LIC Housing or even SREI Infra for that instance; it is in specialized infrastructure financing.”
 
He further added, “These are great days and if somebody had these shares they would have made a lot of money. When I build a long-term portfolio of good midcaps I would prefer the type of midcaps in the financial space which I mentioned and so I would not really venture too much into gold financing companies.”
