Prefer midcap PSU banking stocks, which has a very high CASA ratio of 40-42, says Lalit Thakkar from Angel Broking.

Thakkar told CNBC-TV18, "In the banking space we like private sector banks because again and again we have been emphasizing this point that they have been regularly increasing the market share, so if you look at the trend from last ten years or seven years or five years also they have been increasing the market shares. So that is the reason our favourites are Axis Bank and HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank." He further added, "At this juncture a lot of midcap banking stocks; PSU bank, have come down. I would like to go for those banks, midcap PSU banks which has a very high CASA ratio of 40-42 because that is finally which brings margins in the banking industry."
