Consumer appliances brand Atomberg crossed Rs 1,000 crore in total revenue for FY25, co-founder Sibabrata Das posted on LinkedIn on April 1, becoming among only a few consumer companies to have achieved this milestone.
A growing customer base and new categories like mixers, grinders – beyond fans – contributed significantly to Atomberg’s growth.
While Atomberg’s Das did disclose specifics, the revenue growth was at least 20 percent higher on year (YoY), after the Mumbai-based company clocked Rs 848 crore in revenue in FY24. For FY23, the company posted Rs 645 crore in revenue and had a top line of Rs 348 crore in FY22, showcasing steady growth over the years.
Atomberg’s FY25 loss figure was not available yet, but it has widened over the years, though at a controlled pace. In FY22, it recorded a loss of Rs 39 crore which increased to Rs 139 crore in FY23, and Rs 204 crore in FY24.
Lenskart, Swiggy, Zomato, BlueStone are some of the other new-age Indian consumer companies that have over Rs 1,000 crore in revenue.
“As we think about (the) next 10 years, there are again many unknowns: Can we build a multi category brand? Can we maintain our pace of innovation? Can Atomberg play a larger role in manufacturing? Can we become a global brand? and many more,” Das wrote in his post.
Atomberg directly competes with legacy companies like Bajaj, Sujata, Orient and many more.
“I don’t have an answer today but I have an aligned board, a team that believes we can and a team that I am proud of. I don't know the end result but one thing is certain that the journey of the next decade is going to be even more exciting than the last decade,” Atomberg co-founder said.
The company manufactures smart fans with features such as a smart remote control, sleep mode, voice control, and boost mode, was founded in 2012 by IIT alumni Manoj Meena and Sibabrata Das. The company has raised over $120 million in funding from Temasek and private equity firm Steadview Capital, A91 Partners, Jungle Ventures and more.
Atomberg has an online presence as well as an offline distribution network of over 30,000 counters in India, and plans to add about 1,500-2,000 counters every quarter, Das had earlier told Moneycontrol.
