Edtech firm Byju’s is facing widespread service disruptions, with its Android app no longer available on the Google Play Store and its website reduced to a basic landing page, Moneycontrol has learnt. Users who already had the app installed are unable to access paid subscriptions or video content, while most SEO-optimised pages on the website have gone offline.

The disruption is due to pending payments to Amazon Web Services (AWS), which powers the company’s cloud infrastructure, as per sources.

“There have been payment delays to AWS, and some services have been paused as a result. App content, website functionality, and video delivery are currently down," a source said.

Even the Think & Learn Premium app — a separate offering from Byju’s that remains listed on the Play Store — is not functioning for users, with many reporting they are unable to access any learning content.
