Electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy on December 22 said it will increase prices across its scooter portfolio by up to Rs 3,000, with the revision set to take effect from January 1, 2026. The company cited rising global costs of raw materials, foreign exchange pressures and higher prices of key electronic components as reasons for the hike.

The move comes at a time when electric vehicle manufacturers are navigating cost pressures amid volatile commodity prices and currency fluctuations. The price increase will apply across Ather’s scooter lineup, including the 450 series and the Rizta family scooter.

Ahead of the hike, the company is continuing its year-end ‘Electric December’ campaign in select cities. Under the offer, buyers can access benefits of up to Rs 20,000, including instant credit card EMI discounts, cash incentives and an extended battery warranty on select models. These offers remain time-bound and apply only until the end of December.

Ather’s current portfolio includes the performance-focused 450 series and the Rizta, which targets family and commuter use. The 450 range features connected and ride-assist technologies, while the Rizta focuses on storage capacity, safety features and everyday usability.
