There are three ways one would have invested and in each case the procedure is very simple. Number one could be one would have invested in the physical form by signing up a form and filling up a form. In this case the redemption can be done through filling up a small transaction slip which could be available either with the account statement that one has or can be downloaded through the website of the mutual fund.
Fill up this form, all the details, the account number or the folio number, the amount to be redeemed or the units to be redeemed and get it submitted at what they call the official points of acceptance which are essentially the offices of either mutual fund company or the registrars and the money can be redeemed.
Option number two could be now that the stock exchange channel is open for investment one could have invested to their stock broker. In that case the redemption can be done through the same stock broker.
The Third option could be investment online through the website. Once again here the procedure is extremely simple. Login to your investment account, go to that respective portfolio or the folio and then click on redemption or redeem option and fill up the details on how much units or how much amount you need to redeem. So, that way the procedure to redeem money is very simple.
