NAVs decline on concerns of market volatility

Equity funds continued with its laggard performance for the fifth consecutive day due to hovering issue of European debt crisis. With upsetting macro conditions and global volatility, the free fall in rupee has added to the woes. Funds in all equity categories were seen in red registering no gainers.

Equity funds continued with its laggard performance for the fifth consecutive day due to hovering issue of European debt crisis. With upsetting macro conditions and global volatility, the free fall in rupee has added to the woes. Funds in all equity categories were seen in red registering no gainers.


The sell off in sectoral funds continued which further led to the decline of markets. Except for Sector- Banking & Finance none of categories registered any gainers. Sector- Banking & Finance ended with the advance: decline ratio of 4:7
On the debt fund space, Short term debt fund continued with its robust performance registering few losers. Short term debt fund, Ultra Short Term Debt and Gilt Short Term ended with the advance: decline ratio of 68:0, 69:0 and 15:2 respectively. While Long term debt fund too ended on a positive cue, Gilt Long Term witnessed trembling performance. Long term debt fund and Gilt Long Term ended with the advance: decline ratio of 59:7 and 23:19 respectively
