Some FIIs likely to move funds out of India by year end: Experts

The geopolitical issues give investors a reason to take money off the market, believes Christopher Palmer, Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Benson Avenue Capital. India has seen a strong run in last few months and current situation presents an opportunity to reassess investments. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) are likely to withdraw funds from India by year end, says Seth R Freeman-CEO & Chief Investment Officer at EM Capital Management. FII money to the tune of 5-10 percent will flow out, he adds. Investors are slihlt worried over how India will move after the strike and also how Pakistan will react to it, says Freeman. However, no reassessment is expected for India on back of this. Investors are now likely to look at laggard markets like China, where growth prospects are looking decent, says Palmer.Watch video for the full interview...
