HSBC Global forecasts India's GDP at 7.6% for FY12

Chief economist of India and ASEAN at HSBC Global Research, Leif Eskesen's GDP forecast for FY12 is at 7.6% for India. Eskesen also told CNBC-TV18 that the further policy measure would be influenced by the global economic outlook.

Chief economist of India and ASEAN at HSBC Global Research, Leif Eskesen's India gross domestic product (GDP) forecast for fiscal year 2012(FY12) stands at 7.6%. He said, "The global economic backdrop looks weaker than what was originally anticipated. It can filter through the trade and confidence channel to some extent, but India is not that trade dependent."
 
Eskesen also told CNBC-TV18 that the further policy measure would be influenced by the global economic outlook.
