So how are the top fund managers and market watchers reading the year ahead?

On the back of grim economic indicators, Ashwini Agarwal, Director of Demeter Advisors tells CNBC-TV18's Udayan Mukherjee that the year going forward will be tough. "Money supply has been a little bit too easy through 2009 and somewhat through 2010 as well. So that will just accelerate dwindling down of industrial growth rates that we have seen in the last few months at least in the first half of the year," he explains.
