Market analyst SP Tulsian of sptulsian.com explains to CNBC-TV18, in his analysis of the day's stocks, that he maintains a positive view on Petronet LNG which has been posting good results from the previous financial year.

He is also positive on Sun TV, though he adds, that the fear of the CBI charge-sheet still lingers in the stock. The ability of the network, which belongs to the Opposition DMK party, in inking a pact with the government-run Arasu Cable is another highlight that makes the stock even more attractive. Below is an edited transcript of the analysis on CNBC-TV18. Q: What do you make of Petronet LNG's results and how would you approach the stock?
A: The initial results are definitely looking very good and it reminds of the company’s performance in FY12 when it started to post good results. I am taking a positive view. The results could make the stock move to about Rs 160 in the near term or so. Q: What is your reaction to Titan's results this time around on instances of slowdown in consumption in Titan, Jubilant Foodworks or even Bata?
A: I won't compare Bata along with these two companies. Definitely Bata has posted good results though the stock has corrected.
Talking specifically about Titan - there is disappointment in the results as the stock is ruling at high valuation. Whenever it corrects to about Rs 215 or so, renewed trading buying interest comes back into the stock. I do not think that a fresh investment call is being given by any investment banker on the stock. Q: What about Sun TV? How would you approach that after the news flow that you have seen with respect to Arasu Cable?
A: The news is positive for the stock, but the fear of the CBI charge-sheet continues to remain on the stock. But otherwise, on pure fundamental news or current news, I see far-reaching implications on the increase in viewership. Politically too, the news is positive as in spite of the opposition ruling in Tamil Nadu, the company has inked a deal of this kind.
