Reliance Communications, Unitech and DB Realty shed between 3.09% to 3.58% after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a charge sheet on Saturday against nine accused persons and three private companies in 2G spectrum scam.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Kunal Bajaj of Analysys Mason said these events overall are definitely positive for the telecom sector as a whole. "The other players within the sector were waiting for this to happen so that they can move forward with consolidation and M&A," he said.
According to Suresh Mahadevan of UBS Securities sentiment may be a bit negative for Reliance Communication at the moment. However, he said it is certainly positive for Bharti and Idea Cellular.
