Maharashtra government issues notice to TCS over onboarding delay

In July, Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) filed a complaint with the Ministry of Labour & Employment highlighting the “delayed onboarding of over 200 lateral recruits by TCS”. Later, the complaint was transferred to the Maharashtra government.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment of Maharashtra has issued a notice to information technology major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) over a complaint of delaying onboarding of “200 lateral recruits” filed by a Pune-based IT union.

As per the letter issued by the government, a joint meeting of management has been called on November 2, 2023, in the morning to present TCS’ case.

“Joint meeting of management regarding redressal of grievances/settlement on 02/11/2023 in the morning / 12.00 noon. in the presence of the undersigned at the office at the above address and you should be present at the said meeting in person or through an authorised representative with the appropriate documents,” the Marathi-translated letter reads.
