On the day when Donald Trump was celebrating his 100 days in the Oval Office, he got the news that one of the ‘tech bros’ who was invited to his inauguration ceremony back in January is planning to show tariff prices on some products.

Soon, the news spread like a wildfire in the power corridors of the White House that Jeff Bezos’ retail giant Amazon is considering a plan to display the additional tariff on some products along with the final cost on the website.

A CNN report citing two senior White House officials said that as soon as Trump learnt about this, he straight away called Bezos. A fuming President complained to Bezos about the plan. Later, when reporters asked Trump, he did acknowledge that he spoke with Bezos.

But the tone was much milder than what many believed transpired on that call. “Bezos is terrific, he is very nice,” Trump told reporters. The Amazon boss “solved the problem very quickly,” POTUS was quoted as saying.
