It pays to be a worker employed in the manufacturing sector in Jharkhand, with wages being 1.5 times higher than the national average, according to a Moneycontrol analysis of the Annual Survey of Industries 2022-23.

A Jharkhand worker employed in organised manufacturing earned Rs 3.17 lakh per annum in 2022-23, at least a lakh rupees more than the national average of Rs 2.05 lakh per annum.

The income of Jharkhand workers has also increased faster than the national average, registering a 6.8 percent increase per annum between 2018-19 and 2022-23 compared with 5 percent for the country.
