India needs to incorporate changes in pharma sector: WHO RD

Laying stress on promoting research work in pharmaceutical sector, Regional Director of WHO South East Asia, Poonam Khetrapal Singh said India needs to incorporate changes and innovate in the sector to address today's need.

In the changing scenario, no one model suits all therefore changes are needed, she said at the convocation ceremony of IIHMR University here.

"There is no one model that suits all. We have health services which are solely by the government, by the private sector and those which are a mix of the public and the private sector.

"In India, we would need to think of new ways in which the health care services are rendered, a release quoting her said.
