Air conditioning and refrigeration company Voltas' fourth quarter profit is expected to increase 1.7 percent to Rs 120 crore against Rs 118 crore in corresponding period of last fiscal, according to analysts polled by CNBC-TV18. Earnings will be announced on May 17.
Revenue is seen rising 4 percent to Rs 1,550 crore in January-March quarter compared to Rs 1,490 crore in year-ago period.
Tepid revenue growth is likely to be led by decline in EMP (electro-mechanical projects) business while UCP (unitary cooling products) segment could potentially surprise on the upside (likely to show double digit growth) with early summer in the country.
Operating profit may increase 3.5 percent year-on-year to Rs 148 crore but margin may contract by 10 basis points to 9.5 percent in quarter gone by.
