Asset quality to improve in coming quarter: Andhra Bank

The bank is aiming for below 5 percent gross non-performing asset by year end and also maintain its net interest margin at 3 percent year on year, SK Kalra, Executive Director, Andhra Bank told CNBC-TV18.

Andhra Bank reported good June quarter earnings with stable asset quality. The bank’s gross non-performing assets (NPAs) are expected to be below 5 percent by the year end, SK Kalra, Executive Director, Andhra Bank told CNBC-TV18. The bank’s net interest income (NII) grew 44 percent to Rs 1157.4 crore and its profits grew 89 percent to Rs 202.52 crore in the June quarter. The gross non-performing loans at Rs Rs 7237.65 crore.Watch video for more.
