Coal India eyes 477 mn tn coal sales FY12

Coal India reported a consolidated net profit Rs 10,867 crore for 2010-11, up 13% over the previous year. The company attributed the growth in bottomline to higher sales from e-auctions and washed coal, which yield better margins than the coal sold under the FSA (Fuel Supply Agreement) based notified price sale.
