Shree Cement Q2 profit jumps over 3.5 times to Rs 217 cr

Shree Cement's net profit rose by 3.67 times to Rs 217 crore in the second quarter of financial year 2012-13 from Rs 59.2 crore in a year ago period.

Shree Cement's net profit rose by 3.67 times to Rs 217 crore in the second quarter of financial year 2012-13 from Rs 59.2 crore in a year ago period.


Net sales grew by 19.4 percent to Rs 1,428 crore from Rs 1,195.8 crore during the same period.
Numbers were better than expectations. Analysts on an average were expecting a net profit at Rs 192 crore on revenue of Rs 1,335 crore, according to CNBC-TV18 poll.
Shares fell 0.66 percent to close at Rs 4,494.85 on Bombay Stock Exchange.
Market capitalisation of the company currently stands at Rs 15,658.81 crore.
The company had reported net profit of Rs 618.50 crore on sales turnover of Rs 6,577.37 crore in last fiscal 2011-12. Also Read
