ABB confident of double-digit growth going forward

ABB India, reported a jump in Net sales of 29% at Rs 1726 crore for the quarter ended September 2011 compared to Rs 1334 crore last year. Profit after tax (PAT) shotup substantially 93% at Rs 22 crore compared to Rs 11 crore last year.

ABB India reported a 29% jump in its net sales to Rs 1,726 crore for the quarter ended September 2011. Same quarter last year the company had posted sales of Rs 1,334 crore.

Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Bazmi Husain, country head and managing director of ABB India said, they have outperformed the market. "This quarter (Q3CY11) was the third consecutive quarter with double digit growth. We see that trend continuing."

Q: You have guided for an uptick in margin from here, what do your current margins stand and what kind of an uptick are you anticipating?

A: This has been the third quarter that we have had double-digit growth. This is clearly an indication especially in a market that hasn't grown that rapidly this year. In fact, we have outperformed the market and grown double-digit for three consecutive quarters. We see that trend continuing.
