Wockhardt receives US FDA's establishment inspection report

Anand Rathi's channel checks indicate EIR is in place for two facilities, Waluj and Chikalthana and implies positive step towards resolution of regulatory trends.

Wockhardt, as a Anand Rathi Sales Note states, has received Establishment Inspection Report (EIR). The report is for its Chikalthana facility for its March 2015 US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspection. Upon completion of inspection USFDA provides inspected establishments an inspection report called an EIR.The firm's channel checks indicate EIR is in place for two facilities, Waluj and Chikalthana, and implies a positive step towards resolution of regulatory trends. However, Waluj and Chikalthana are still under an import alert since 2013. In the wake of the development, the stock had touched an intraday high of Rs 1,129.00.Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Surajit Pal of Prabhudas Lilladher said: "This is not only going to raise the import alert and this is also not going to allow them to produce anything to export for US."He also said that it should take Wockhardt another year to receive final resolution from USFDA which will remove import alerts.
