SunEdison looking to offload eight projects: Sources

Just about a month after US giant SunEdison filed for bankruptcy, CNBC-TV18 learns that the renewable energy giant has identified 8 projects which it wants to offload in India. SunEdison's 8 projects require an equity infusion of Rs 2,010 crore. It is learnt that Rothschild has been appointed as SunEdison's advisor. Sources reveal that the company has reached out to big and small solar players. SunEdison has invested about Rs 108 crore in the eight projects.These eight projects, which have a total capacity of 1,318 MW, need immediate equity of Rs 553 crore.CNBC-TV18's query to the company went unanswered.Watch video for more...
